Our Purpose
Our purpose over the forthcoming 3-5 years is to secure the future of our outstanding school in the face of challenging pressures on sources of funding and a forecast decline in the demographic potential for pupils within our catchment area.
Our goal is to consolidate and continuously improve school performance and ensure the highest possible standards of education and attainment for our children.
We will achieve this through ensuring that the school is well managed, properly resourced and through investment to continuously develop our leadership, teaching and support staff and governors.
Our Strategic Objectives
In order to achieve our medium-term vision, the school has considered its strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities and threats facing it from the wider environment. It has determined the following strategic objectives which will inform its development plan, budgets and targets:
1. We will ensure that the school retains its “Outstanding” status
We will ensure that the quality of the education we deliver, the environment that we create and the support that we offer to our children and their families is the best that we can achieve.
2. All Children in our care will achieve their full potential and attainment
We will ensure that all children reach their full potential and that we help to develop their social skills, confidence, resilience and behaviour to prepare them for the next phase of their lives. We will provide a varied programme of enrichment activities and provide additional support in particular for Pupil Premium children, children with Special Educational Needs and children for whom English is an Additional Language.
3. We will develop our staff and create innovation
We will support the staff in their desire to achieve academic excellence for our children and ensure the creative use of resources. We will invest in our staff in order to further develop their skills and knowledge and to assist in retaining good staff. We will encourage innovation and reward results.
4. We will closely manage and make the most effective use of our resources
The school will ensure the highest standards of financial management to ensure that it remains viable. The school will effectively deploy its financial and human resources to support the achievement of its vision. We will ensure that staff and pupils have access to the equipment and resources that they require to achieve our vision.
5. We will increase number of children on roll
The school will seek to make places available to children that wish to attend the school. We will ensure that there is the right balance between ensuring the school is efficient as possible and maintaining a friendly, supportive environment in which to learn. We will seek to engage with parents and the wider community to promote the school and enhance its reputation.
6. We will position the school as the school of choice
We will ensure that the school is perceived as the school of choice for parents. We will explore opportunities to further develop the school, to build useful networks with other schools, businesses and community groups and promote the work of the school. We will explore options for delivering our offering such as academy status and other collaborative approaches to education.
